In addition to our year round classes, Carolina Dance Conservatory offers specialized workshops and intensives. Whether you are beginner or a pre-professional dancer, we have just the program for you.
Summer performance workshops
Swan Lake (June 12-16th)
& Don Quixote (July 10-14th)
(Levels A-IV, 9:00-12:00PM)
Students will learn the story of a famous ballet and help to create the costumes, choreography and props need to share the story through dance. On the last day of camp the dancers will put on an abbreviated version of the ballet for their friends an family. This camp allows the dancers to experience all aspects of the arts involved in putting on a ballet performance. Due to the hands on nature of this camp space is limited, register today to reserve your spot!
The dancers will do a performance, for the parents, on the Friday of each Workshop at 11:00AM. (June 16th & July 14th).

Valery Lantratov of The Russian National Ballet Foundation (August 25th-27th)
Intensive with Valery Lantratov
(Levels III-V, August 25th-27th, 5:00-8:00PM)
Train with Valery Lantratov, a Moscow-born principal ballet dancer with the Moscow Stanislavsky and Kremlin ballets and general director of the Russian National Ballet Foundation. Valery’s son is currently a principal dancer with the Bolshoi Ballet.

The dancers will begin this camp by learning to sew pointe shoes on their own. Along with the study of pointe technique, dancers will learn foot strengthening exercises to use in studio and at home, as well as the best ways to prevent injuries in dance. This workshop is recommended for dancers with 3 or fewer years of pointe training
*Dancers will need a brand new un-sewn pair of pointe shoes, ribbons, elastic, and materials needed for sewing.*
